Watts nickel contains additives that make the finish bright and is ideal for aesthetic applications where functionality is not a priority. Due to the additives in the bath, watts nickel can improve the surface finish of a part.

MATTE SULFAMATE ELECTROLYTIC NICKEL PLATING

Sulfamate nickel contains no brighteners or leveling additives, and is ideal for functional and engineering applications like brazing and welding. It also makes an ideal underplate for finishes like tin, silver, or gold. Due to the lack of additives in the bath, sulfamate nickel can degrade the surface finish of a part, creating a matte finish.
