Roles & Responsibilites
- Consults with existing and potential clients to assess and understand their heat treatment needs.
- Accurately prepares quotes.
- Follow up on requests for quotes and create opportunity pipeline of new business.
- Drafts or assists with the drafting of presentations and other documentation and materials that explain products and services to customers.
- Provides expertise and support to sales teams to communicate products, services, and client needs.
- Proposes improved materials or products to customers and explains benefits of changes.
- Provides support to customers and works to resolve problems.
- Applies knowledge of the field and product features to match products to the needs of clients.
- Answers inquiries from clients concerning products, their uses, and the industry at large.
- Collaborates with purchasing departments, managers, and other staff to confirm that orders are processed with accuracy and efficiency and products are distributed properly.
- Periodically prepares and reports results, status of accounts, and leads to manager.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Specific Work Hours:
- Monday-Thursday (9 hours)
- Friday (4 hours)
- Some flexibility available
Requirements
Required:
- Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical audiences.
- Ability to travel nationally.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or field related to products and services being sold preferred.
- 3+ years of heat treating industry experience required.
Attributes:
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to sales.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
